Video Clip 1-Outsmarting Low Back Pain

Recognizing Your Direction of Sensitivity—In this video program, you’ll learn to make observations about how you move, your habitual posture and the influence it has on lower back pain. You’ll be tracking your finding on a checklist and putting yourself into 1 of 3 “Movement Bias” categories. This specific video is a sampling of movement-based exercises from the whole program. Don’t worry, you won’t start here!


Video Clip 2-Outsmarting Low Back Pain

Establishing a Neutral Spine—Learn to find and maintain the most optimal shape of your back while training your “core” muscles to keep you stable. Coordinating movements of your pelvis and lower back with breathing exercises helps to decrease tension and strain in your lower back.


Video Clip 3-Outsmarting Low Back Pain

Using Your Legs—Everyone knows they should use their legs to bend and lift, but what does that really mean? In this video program you’ll learn to use your legs to control the movement and positioning of your pelvis to positively influence the shape of your back. Your back will feel better and your legs and hips will be stronger and more flexible.


Video Clip 4-Outsmarting Low Back Pain

Sitting, Bending, Standing and Lifting—Build on your improved self-awareness and newly learned movement skills by applying them to real life activity. Movement lessons are designed around postural control and on recognizing and controlling bending and lifting stresses...this section is awesome!


Video Clip 5-Outsmarting Low Back Pain

Controlling Rotational Stressors—Recognize and control rotational stresses in both posture and movement. Continue using your legs to move and control your pelvis and back and coordinate with your core bracing. Practice fun drills to help apply new movement skills to daily life.


Video Clip 6-Outsmarting Low Back Pain

Walking and Stairs—Recognize and control walking and climbing stresses. Blend control of arching movement with control of twisting and shearing movements. Review patterns of movement in some of the previous lessons that simulate walking.


Video Clip 7-Outsmarting Low Back Pain

Middle and Low Back Relationships—Loosen up your mid back while keeping your low back stable. Improve postural ease and distribution of movement along your spine.
